12.22.25 -WearKind in the Classroom: Supporting Students at Reedy High School

Proud to distribute WearKind shirts to students in the Active Learning classrooms at Reedy High School through our partnership with Frisco ISD!

Seeing our adaptive clothing support students right here in our local schools is what this journey is all about. For those who might not know, Active Learning classrooms in Frisco ISD serve students with moderate to severe intellectual disabilities, providing specialized instruction and support tailored to each student's unique needs. Partnering with FISD to bring adaptive clothing into these classrooms means we're reaching students across the district who deserve clothing that works for their bodies and their lives.

When I first started researching adaptive clothing, I kept thinking about kids who just want to feel comfortable and confident at school, not singled out by clothing that looks obviously different. High school is already hard enough without adding unnecessary barriers. Students in Active Learning classrooms deserve clothing that works for them, whether they're dressing independently or with support from teachers and aides. Our designs help make mornings easier for families and give students one less thing to worry about during their school day.

When a teacher tells me that a student put on their WearKind shirt quickly and got ready for class without frustration, that's the impact we're working toward. Thank you to Frisco ISD and the incredible educators at Reedy High School who advocate for their students every single day. Partnerships like this are exactly why WearKind exists.
