10.26.25 -A Day with Starcatchers at North Texas Performing Arts Center

WearKind spent the day at North Texas Performance Arts Center with our Starcatchers community, and I'm still thinking about the conversations we had there.

We had the opportunity to distribute WearKind products and connect with families who truly understand the impact of adaptive clothing. The feedback was amazing, but one moment really stood out. A mom shared how grateful she was for the shirt that will help make her son's morning routine so much better. Hearing that made everything click into place for me. These aren't just clothing modifications we're making. We're giving families back time and reducing stress during those everyday moments that can feel overwhelming when you're working with traditional clothing.

For those who might not know, Starcatchers is a therapeutic theater program through North Texas Performing Arts that gives children and adults with disabilities the chance to shine on stage through drama, music, dance, and visual art. It's the only drama therapy program for youth in North Texas. What makes it special is their relational approach, where Performance Partners work one on one with actors to help them learn lines, stage cues, and develop their skills in a supportive environment. Walking into that space, you can feel how much the program believes in its actors. There are no disabilities when making art, just people creating together.

These comments remind us why we do this work. When families see their children succeed in programs like Starcatchers and then find clothing that supports rather than limits that independence, it validates everything we're working toward. Thank you to the Starcatchers community for your continued support.
