08.30.25 - Our EasyBack Graphic Tee Prototype is Ready!
We're excited to share our second prototype: the EasyBack adaptive graphic tee designed specifically for assisted dressing. Assisted dressing means when someone needs help from another person to put on or take off their clothes. This shirt looks exactly like any regular graphic tee from the front and sides, but features strategically placed velcro closures along the back seam. The design eliminates the need to pull clothing over the head or struggle with tight arm openings, making the dressing process significantly easier for caregivers while maintaining complete discretion for the wearer. Whether someone uses a wheelchair, has limited mobility, or simply needs help getting dressed, this shirt provides a dignified solution that prioritizes both comfort and independence.
What makes this design special is its invisible functionality. No one would ever know this shirt is adaptive just by looking at it, which was incredibly important to the families we spoke with during our research. The strong velcro strips ensure the shirt stays securely closed throughout daily activities while remaining easy to open when needed. We're currently testing this prototype with families in our community and the feedback has been very positive. This shirt represents our commitment to creating adaptive clothing that works for real life situations while ensuring everyone can express their personal style without compromise. 💙
